Roller Skating Waiver Requirement
Roller skating is a physical activity with an inherent risk of injury; by participating you assume the risk of injury. All visitors participating in roller skating must complete a waiver. Waivers for minors must be completed by a parent or guardian. Waivers are valid for 30 days from the time they are submitted.
Ballroom Class
6:15-7 PM
$52 per skater/4 weeks
18 & Older Only
This 4-week course introduces the basics of ballroom-style roller skating, blending smooth skating technique with classic partner dance movements. Skaters will learn posture, timing, floor patterns, and graceful transitions while skating to a variety of musical genres. Emphasis is placed on connection, control, and musicality in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
No partner required.
Course registration includes skate rental and entry to the 7-9:30 PM Open Skate Session following class each week.
Prerequisites Skaters should be stable skating forward and backward and have the ability to balance on one foot for 5 or more seconds at a time while skating either forward or backward. Athletic attire is strongly recommended to allow for free range of motion. This is not a beginner-level class; for skaters looking for instruction in basic skating skills, please view the info about our Introduction to Roller Skating class.
Some 4-week courses have break-weeks due to holidays. Course dates are as follows:
- FEB 15-MAR 8
- APR 5-26
- MAY 3-31 (no class 5/24)
All visitors participating in roller skating must complete a waiver.
